CEDRAT Drivers

 

To meet the needs of a variety of piezoelectric actuation (precise, fast, dynamic, resonant), CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES has developed 4 different families of driving electronics:

  • CA45 rack: Low cost & compact (1 channel) linear voltage amplifier for precise and quasi-static actuation.

  • LA75 rack: Linear voltage amplifier for a precise actuation. Note that 3 different versions (A, B or C) are available depending on the working frequency requested for the piezoelectric actuator.
  • SP75 rack: Switching power amplifier for a fast actuation. Note that 2 different versions (A or B) are available depending on the capacitance of the piezoelectric actuator.

  • US100 rack: Ultrasonic inverter for resonant actuation (resonator). Note that this electronic is also used for driving the piezoelectric motors developped by Cedrat Technologies.

In option, all these racks can be equipped with feedback sensor conditionners (Strain Gages, Capacitive, Eddy current, Inductive & Force sensors) in order to provide a closed loop control on the piezoelectric device. A microcontroller board (UC75) can be also installed as an option to allow PC data transfer and digital control (through labview for instance) on the piezoelectric device.

To drive your electronics of the APAs, MLAs and PPAs, CEDRAT has arranged a variety of the 75 family drivers with a 19" electronics card.  The versalie system can be arranged in 19" rack to include:

 

  • An AC/DC or a DC/DC Converter
  • An amplifier to driver the piezoelectric actuator

If fine positioning is required, it may be necessary to use a closed loop:

  • A position sensor and its electronic
  • A closed loop servo controller
